Little 14 year old Sean sent me a sweet gift and a card. Take a look below. I had THE FATALITY scanned in as it’s the cover of the video from lil’ Sean…cute…
Dear Sean,
Thanks for your thoughtful gift. Yes, I love horror movies. I love Thai Horror also. It was very thoughtful of you.
Much care,
Tsem Rinpoche

Children who have dharma grow up with strong set of ethics, and even small children they can already sit still chanting mantras – check them out at MKC. You’ll be amazed!
It is wonderful to know that there are wonderful children like Sean – truly! Working for children, almost daily, for over two decades, i sometimes feel very sad for the apparent decline in wholesome values among them. However, wonderful heartwarming acts done by children like Sean inspires me – he knows how to be grateful! It is also wonderful to know that Rinpoche has so touched him with his kindness; and Sharon has TRULY GIVEN SEAN THE BEST EDUCATION – a DHARMIC ENVIRONMENT! Truly, adults – parents, teachers, community leaders and political leaders etc. have the great responsibility of doing things right; be compassionate and wise – the young needs to have good direction. Thank you Rinpochela, for sharing with us Sean’s wonderful act.
That’s so sweet of you Sean! To remember the kindness of Rinpoche and the guidance he has given to you all these years. I am so proud of you… to see you grow up to become a young thoughtful and caring person. Your mother has guided you in the right direction by sharing dharma with you….. That’s the best gift!
I wish you all the best in your spiritual journey.
As a parent, i’m very proud that Sean took the initiative to look for something for Rinpoche on his own, and I am glad that he has gratitude to Rinpoche for Rinpoche’s kindnesses to him.
Parents may give children material comforts but these are only temporary. Most parents think that if i send my child to the best schools or university, they will be equipped for life but i beg to differ. Of course education is good and necessary to survive in samsara. However, i feel that only with the guiding principles from the Dharma which will help our child to make the right choices to lead better lives for themselves and others, can we really equip them for a meaningful life and permanent happiness.
I do believe that it is only through Rinpoche’s kindness in all ways – from Rinpoche’s Dharma teachings to Rinpoche’s gifts and thoughtful notes and advice to Sean – that Sean is who he is today and that he will continue to grow in the right direction. I wish I had met the Dharma when i was younger and if you are reading this and you are a parent, I would strongly recommend that you share the Dharma with your children. It’s the greatest gift we can give them.
I am truly grateful to Rinpoche for blessing my family with the Dharma.
Well done Sean. I find it very encouraging to see a young person take the time to rememeber Rinpoche’s kindness and do whatever is within his capability to show his gratitude. All of us must not forget how much Rinpoche has done for us and so many people. And the best way to return kindness is by doing simple things sincerely as you have shown.
Sean is a fine example of mindfulness and you do yourself and your family proud.
Sean is an extraordinary boy. Since he was young, well – much younger than now – he has always enjoyed listening to Rinpoche’s talks. Even if it went on for hours, Sean will still be wide awake listening. And he does take it all in and think about them. It is not superficial.
Sean has also taken refuge and practises Dharma and memorises mantras better than most people, including me!
That amazes me as it is. That such a young boy could be so attracted to Dharma and be so interested. He asks the right questions all the time.
Hence, I have to say seeing Sean makes me believe that past imprints are real. How could one explain that a young boy would be so committed to Dharma when most kids his age would be more interested in PSP or other Computer Games.
In addition, the nurturing and upbringing Sean receives from his mother, Sharon Saw, must really do wonders.
Again, it all goes to show when one has past imprints, given the right nurturing environment, the child will be different. Thus, this child will also grow up to be a very special Dharmic individual. That is already clear as it is.
So happy for Sean. I pray that Sean will keep up his Dharma practice, and always believe that the good in him will triumph over anything.
Dearest Rinpoche,
I am really glad that Rinpoche likes the movie. Rinpoche has always shown great kindness towards me. This is a way that I can repay some of Rinpoche’s kindness.
Giving material objects is only one of the smallest ways in repaying Rinpoche’s kindness. As Rinpoche says the best way to repay your Lama’s kindness is that through a mind transformed. I am working on it and I will change my ways. I will stop being lazy or Sneaky. I will not be bad to others when they make me angry as I will emotionally hurt them if I get mad.
Have a Nice Day Rinpoche,
An Ocean of prayers,
Sean
How kind of this Boy and how wise of you being full of Dharma and watching horror movies, dear Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.
