Lorraine Hahn for Paris!
When Jamie Khoo (aka Paris!) wrote her biography at my insistence, “Call me Paris!” little did she know that she would be endorsed by an international talk show host, presenter and journalist!
At a random party, at the beginning of the year, Jamie met Lorraine through mutual friends. Jamie shared her biography with Lorraine who promised to give it a good read! How kind as she is very busy.
In early June, Jamie and Li Kim (CEO of KMP) had dinner with Lorraine Hahn who during then, out of the many things, they spoke about books published by Kechara Media and Publications (KMP). Having already read the biography, Lorraine was very happy and appreciative of them sharing both the Call Me Paris and Snakes, Roosters and Pigs book, that she agreed to endorse Jamie’s biography!
Lorraine Hahn has a strong reputation as a presenter and talk-show host. She is most famous as being the now ex-CNBC and CNN personality, prominently known for hosting Talk Asia and Biz Asia on CNN. She has showed many strengths in her understanding of Asian economic and political issues and has being called-upon to interview business leaders, heads of state and other personalities. She has also been called upon to be Master of Ceremony or Chairperson of many major events, including the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting…ADB Journalism Awards…so being endorsed by her is no small feat!!
According to Jamie, she is a very fun person and is very good company due to her sense of humour. They have both kept in touch, and last met when Jamie’s father Datuk Khoo invited Lorraine to the Kechara Charity Golf Tournament where she attended with her husband, Michael Wang.
I thank Ms Lorraine Hahn, although being so successful, yet still so humble and helpful. That is a beautiful quality to have in life. Your endorsement will inspire a young writer (Paris) that looks up to you and also give a wonderful boost to Kechara Media and Publications. KMP is deserving of your help as we work very hard.
Paris was very reluctant to write about herself because she feels she is boring…but I disagree…I insisted she writes her story….it is a phenomena that a young, educated, and intelligent girl like here is also deeply spiritual. Jaime or I like to call her Paris, remains herself and looks like any other did good for herself young person who tweets, facebooks, loves Tara, likes to wear strange clothing (last time..hehehe) and incessantly talks about boys (last time too..hehehe), but when you get to know here better..she is deep, sensitive, bright, very well read and could hold a good conversation about many things. She can be strong on her opinions but when you talk sense and logic to her, she switches over because she likes when things make sense. Talking with her is not about her ego, but she really likes to understand things. I like that.
She loves to have fun, and gets depressed too (last time..hehehe) like many people, gets disappointed, loves shopping and big earrings, but when you get past that, she is a very spiritual and deep person who can think on many levels. She is a GREAT GREAT GREAT WRITER and has spectacular near photographic memory and never spells any word wrong!!
What I like about Paris is she is a good example to many young people out there…have fun…be yourself..but do something truly good for yourself and always explore and let the world know being spiritual doesn’t mean you give up on anything you enjoy, but spirituality is one facet of your life that can enhance all facets of your life. It makes you more dynamic, more accepting and even more of a better person.
Paris makes being spiritual modern, cool, real and super hip!! Read her ‘strange’ book and be inspired..read her book and be prepared to be blown away by succulent great writing that flows so you can just focus on the story……Besides, being ‘strange’ is not wierd, just not afraid to be yourself..hehe Enjoy her book…..you must read it….

Hi, my sister recommended this blog. I like what I see so far, but I will have to check back a few more times before I put it in my daily bloglist.
It is through Rinpoche’s encouragement and the believe that Jamie can make it and be a success if she start to write a book. So far nothing has gone wrong with Rinpoche’s advice to his students unless they have doubts and won’t follow instructions. Jamie (Paris) came to Rinpoche in her early 20’s. She was a writer and a journalist then. When she joined Kechara as a volunteer, Rinpoche saw her potential and ask her to join KMP and write a book. Because Kechara caters to the younger generation, Jamie’s book CALL ME PARIS has attracted the younger generation. Lorraine Hahn who is also young and a popular Broadcaster and journalist has recognised Jamie’s book and liked it and endorsed it.
i just loved reading the book because i could RELATE TO a lot of things in it. It was like, “Hey, that’s so like me!” i think that was how many other readers felt. In a wonderful way, that’s so ASSURING…. INSPIRING, because i could IDENTIFY better, the typical experiences of being a Dharma practitioner – Thank you, Dharma princess! Jamie’s SINCERITY is shines in every page of the book. The book’s got to be a WINNER, no less!
I like it.
