Simplified Lamrim Class 2011
In 2009, Mr Ngeow started conducting the ‘Simplified Lamrim‘ classes at Kechara House, every alternate Sunday. These classes were held for those who could not commit to attending the full Lamrim program that is held every Friday.
When it first started, about 10-20 people would attend. Those that came were generally parents…they would drop off their children at Manjushri Kid’s Class then make their way to Kechara House for the Simplified Lamrim class. The syllabus does not focus too much on the technical part of the Lamrim, but more on the teachings that can be applied to their daily lives.
Two years have gone by and as of last Sunday, 35 people have been attending the class consistently. Amongst the 35 was Datuk May Phng, our Kechara House’s President who wanted to attend the class to expand her knowledge and understanding. According to Mr Ngeow, her participation will inspire and encourage many people.
The study group representatives from Kuantan (Leonard and his wife) and Kechara Southern Jewel Chapel (KSJC; Mr Lim and Eric) also made their way to Kuala Lumpur to attend the class.
They usually attend the class, learn from it and take what they’ve learnt back to their respective study groups. What a great motivation…they learn on behalf of others and then share with others what they’ve learnt.
Before last Sunday’s class, Jeffrey Gan (Marketing and Catering Manager of Kechara Oasis, and a regular class attendee) helped Mr Ngeow to turn his notes into a PowerPoint presentation. He also helped sort out the presentation on the PC and projection during class. Mr Ngeow says that he’s the perfect guy as he’s really good with computers hehe
The Simplified Lamrim classes has now moved over to the new gompa! This way, it can now fit more people.

It’s absolutely wonderful of Mr Ngeow to teach Lamrin – it is truly beneficial to understand Lamrin. It’s a SOLID FOUNDATION to build one’s spiritual path on; and who wouldn’t need that!
