This inspiring video briefly shows my life and the story behind my Dharma organization– KECHARA, which has 13 wonderful departments, each with its own unique way to spread the Dharma.
This short yet informative video also features my ultimate dream – Kechara World Peace Centre (KWPC). It’s a place in the mountains of Malaysia for learning, healing and practicing.
This video is first shown to the public on the KWPC Charity Dinner on 18 July 2010. Take a look at this video that is done very well by KIM dept.

Tsem Rinpoche at Kechara Forest Retreat, Bentong, Malaysia
I had the good fortune to watch this again last night at Rinpoche’s 2010 birthday celebration which is also the last time we will have a big event at Kechara House 1 .
Watching the part when the mockup of KWPC always give me goosebumps, may I see this place manifest right before my eyes! KWPC will be a fantastic learning institution for now and the future .
Time flies so fast. I can’t imagine it has been 18 years since Rinpoche landed in Malaysia at the request of Lati Rinpoche. Not knowing with him being here has created the cause for him to bring peace and harmony not only to the people in Malaysia. But vision of creating inner and outer peace to Malaysians and to the world is his project to build the KECHARA WORLD PEACE CENTRE to benefit the people in the world. KWPC will be the biggest centre in the world. And also the largest and tallest LAMA TSONGKAPA statue. It is an institute which will produce a lot of Dharma in the future. At the moment Kechara has 13 Departments which will eventually be transferred to KWPC up in Genting highlands when the centre is built.
World Peace is a subject of discussion and a dilemma for so long that it sometimes appear unattainable.
Through this video, world peace seems possible and within reach. Finally, there is a clear and pretty specific “way” to generating world peace!
It is exciting that Kechara House and KWPC have kindly provided us with the “road map” to peace and happiness. KWPC is an opportunity for us to work with clear direction towards creating peace, harmony and happiness for others and ourselves in a structured, logical and valuable manner, which is perfect for our “modern time” mind set.
With all the successful work that Tsem Rinpoche and Kechara House has done inside and outside Malaysia, it is evident that this method works. We must not only acknowledge this fact but also grab the opportunity to be a part of it!
Thank you again Rinpoche and thank you to all the dedicated team of KIM.
Great, professional, impactful introduction to Kechara House. And with in-depth messages too -temporary worldly reliefs -8 worldly concerns -etc…
I like the mention about how to start about bringing wolrd peace, by developing our inner peace first, it is by changing from within that we can contribute best to achieve world peace.
That makes so much sense to me, and it makes world peace achievable! It is within reach! That is great news… And maybe a preliminary step to achieve this inner peace is the realization that IT CAN BE DONE, that the world is not meant to remain revengeful, greedy, agressive, defensive, but can change IF I change. It also brings about a sense of responsibility for oneself; my actions have consequences, they affect me and others; when I reach inner peace, it affect others positively and may very well be a sparkle for world peace; when I am angry, jealous, revengful, or even plain lazy it affect others in a negative way. I like to think of world peace from that perspective, it is real, it is efficacious and it directly tears down this conception that somehow there would be ME and THE WORLD as two disctinctive objects.
I first watched this video during the recent KH/KSK fundraising event. It came just at the right time as I was sitting next to someone who came once to volunteer at KSK but never got involved in any of Kechara’s activities after that. So I took the opportunity to chat with him the whole night about Kechara, its departments, people, Rinpoche, online presence, activities, concept, practices, teachings and projects. He did have quite a few misconceptions about us at the start one of which was that he thought we were a cocky bunch that only spoke English and he felt out of place. As we chatted he did seem to begin to loosen up and be open to a different view of things. I think the explanations I gave him did seem logical and acceptable.
Then this video was played and I was so happy that it simply presented in a nutshell everything that I told him. I think he understood us a lot better after that, and hopefully he would be inspired to get more involved in future.
I liked the ending of the video the best and the ballroom sound system did justice to it. Rinpoche’s voice boomed, “Whoever you are, whatever you are, get involved with KWPC. Get involved with this project.” Then the reverberating drum beats intensified and ended at a crescendo with the final message “For World Peace”. Then pin drop silence.
Just for those few seconds, everyone froze as the message sank in. The impact was awesome. It was a fantastic job, BK, Sharon!
This is indeed a fantastic “one stop” informational video which is executed well and the narrative is clear and concise. It really does sum up Rinpoche’s vision starting from a personal and easy to relate to background introduction to the motivation behind each calculated step towards its manifestation.
With the diverse departments all working in unison right down to the combined efforts and talents of each individual that worked on this video is truly an attestation to the fact that TOGETHER we can indeed make it happen!
With the wonderful vision of KWPC depicted so inticingly here, surely one would be inspired to join in the efforts to make this a swift reality.
I can just play it over and over again to others because it is so self-explanatory. I alone cannot explain the whole vision better than this video.
Many have commented on what a great job done on producing this video with the sole purpose of conveying Rinpoche’s vision for world peace.
Creating this video alone is amazing because it sums up that together with all the various skills and abilities, we can produce something fabulous. Creating the world peace legacy already starts from here. We should never think that any of our contribution is too small or insignificant to make an impact. Help do that small part in KWPC. It makes a difference.
I love this video soooo sooo sooo much. Even I get excited watching it, as if I’ve never seen all the departments of Kechara before… I was hanging around when Sharon and BK were working on the script (2days-straight, finished finally at 6am at the Ladrang dining room table!) so I’d already heard and read it about a hundred times already… and yet when I saw the video for the first time at the recent fundraiser, I fell in love with it all over again, my heart still beat like a drum in my chest and I felt little beads of tears pushing up against the tear ducts!
I pretended for a moment that I was an “outsider”, seeing the organisation for the first time ever and boy did my heart fill up with joy. I thought, “If I wasn’t already a part of this amazing family, I would want to join this” and I can’t imagine why anyone WOULDN’T want to be a part of this legacy. Kechara – as shown in this video and in everything that every department is doing – is not just talking about world peace as a concept. We are building it every single day. Are you going to be a part of this reality?
This is a beautiful and meaningful video that conveys the message of what KWPC is all about. I especially like the part where Rinpoche talks about KWPC. I believe more and more people need to hear it from the CREATOR in order to understand what KWPC means and how it relates to each of them.
“Alone, we cannot do it. Together, we can!”
I love this! It allows me to get involved and be a part of something greater than myself. What’s more – this will last beyond me. It’ll benefit many generations to come.
Now, who would not want to be part this legacy?
A big thank you to the Kechara InMotion team in creating such power impact video. I heard they worked tirelessly on this footage.
Please spread this video to all your friends, and like Rinpoche said, “Get involved in KWPC, get involved in this project!”
