Dear Rinpoche, I have seen these Conures before at Rinpoche’s old Ladrang. They are very cute and friendly every time when I walked passed them they will tweet very loudly. Hehehe, I don’t think I have seen the new Conure yet.
The Sun conures look so cute and colourful! Although they may be quite noisy at times, but they are one of my favourite birds. I like their eyes, they are so big and round.
They must be living happily in Tsem Ladrang now, lucky birdies.
Thank You for sharing Rinpoche.
Love, beatrix.
Sun conures are friendly birds, they stick to humans more than they stick to other kinds of birds besides themselves.
These 5 siblings plus a recent new sun conure are really cute and timid. When it first came, it looked small and thin and not so friendly as it is not really well fed at that time. As time went past, the conure ate and got more and more used to the environment. The huge and spacious aviary made it possible for these birds to fly and spread their wings. This helped the new sun conure to grow to be more healthy and stronger.
Whenever u have the chance to come to Tsem Ladrang, the first noisy bunch to greet you will be these 6 colorful conures. They’re chirpy, noisy but human friendly birds u will love:)

Terima Kasih Rinpoche!
How lovely are those conures. Very technicolor in fact LOL.
‘3. Other sun conures go to say hi from other side of cage. They don’t try to bite each other through the bars’
(Gawd, they are more sociable than me LOL)
‘4. Other sun conures perch close by curious but also to keep new guy company’
(OK another proof that I am not so sociable! lol)
‘5. New sun conure has the same scream as ther other conures when people walking past the aviary’
(Finally, a brownie point for me: I don’t scream at humans anymore LOL)
‘6. New sun conure wants to come out, pacing back and forth looking to see what’s going on outside the cage’
(Yet another brownie point: I am not so busybody! LOL)
May KAS manifest at the right place and the soonest time! Sadhu!
Dear Rinpoche,
Animal Care Report – Wednesday, 21/4/2010
1. The canary has been happily flying all over the aviary exploring its new space. It still goes back to its small cage in the evening to rest as if the small cage has become its home within the aviary.
2. The cockatiels are their normal selves. The previously reserved Malaysian parrots are hanging out more with the cockatiels these days.
3. The connures are curious mischievous little creatures as usual. Always hanging out at the fence between the aviaries watching what’s going on next door.
4. Dechog comes down to the lower perches and allows itself to be stroked. He is more friendly these days. Drolkar still prefers to stay up on high perches. She rarely comes down to the level where she is reachable when there are people in the aviary. However, she watches closely what’s going on below.
5. The tortoises Kadro and Menlha are now experts in climbing fences. Caught them climbing on top of each other to get over the fence AGAIN two day ago! Talk about great team work.
6. All animals are well.
