Some people address him as Sogpu Rinpoche while others address him as Guru Deva (Guru of the Gods), but I had the great pleasure of staying in his house and spending some time with him. He was introduced to me long distance by my natural birth mother Dewa Nimbo. While I was in the US, she told me if I ever needed help, I should contact him as he was her guru. Surprisingly he is the guru of my natural father also. Why surprising? Because my father was very lucky to have the merits to be in the company of such a great master and very kind person. I have so many things to share with you on this great master. For now I will tell you because of him, I was able to connect with my real father and confirm the identity of my real mother as this had been a great secret kept from me during my growing up years. For decades before meeting Sogpu Rinpoche I had no idea of who I was and who really were my birth parents. I’ve often wondered. Wanting to know about my birth parents did not deter my deep love for my adoptive parents and their relatives I grew up with and loved also. I met my real father in Sogpu Rinpoche’s ladrang (house) on Tibetan New Year’s day in the presence of Sogpu Rinpoche who introduced me to him and united us.

This Sogpu Rinpoche has been very kind to me and I hold him deeply affectionately in my heart. I can never say enough about him as he was someone that makes a massive impact on a person if you had the fortune to meet him. I can say I miss Sogpu Rinpoche Guru Deva very much.

A heart warm story of Sogpu Rinpoche who has helped to connect Rinpoche with his real father and confirmed the identity of Rinpoche ‘s real mother. A great secret which was concealed for so long and finally made known to Rinpoche. It has indeed makes a massive impact Rinpoche , everything changed since then. Guru Sogpu Rinpoche is considered to be an emanation of Gyenze, the “increasing” form of Dorje Shugden. Guru Sogpu Rinpoche was a student under grandmasters of Tibetan Buddhism at the time.
