Lentang Forest Recreational Park – Pahang State
Lentang Forest Recreational Park (Malay: Hutan Lipur Lentang) is a recreational forest reserve in Bukit Tinggi. The Benus River (Malay: Sungai Benus) feeds into the rainforest landscape, providing pools, cascading waters and even a waterfall at the distant edge of this nature park. Hikers delight in the hilly terrain which is perfect for jungle trekking, as well as the fast-flowing river where they can take a refreshing dip in its cold water. The nature reserve, with its towering old trees and scattered boulders, has an altogether Jurassic Park look in its more isolated areas.
A popular place for visitors on weekends, the area is served by a wide range of facilities including hawker stalls, public bathrooms, camping sites, gazebos and paved footpaths. There is ample space to park cars spread along the tarmac road, and no parking fees or entrance fees are imposed here. If you are planning to have a picnic here, bring your own mat along…and please do not forget to take your rubbish with you!

How to get there
Lentang Forest Recreational Park is located along the Karak Highway, about 4km after the turn-off to Berjaya Hills Resort from Kuala Lumpur, or 12km south of Bentong. From Kechara Forest Retreat, it is an approximately 30min drive.
If you are driving from KL, take the Lentang Exit on the Karak Highway. You will come across a small tunnel that connects the left side of road to the right side (where the forest is located).
In case you miss the Lentang Exit, do not worry. Keep on driving and go through the Bentong toll. Drive for a couple more kilometres, after which there is a left exit where you can make a U-turn, and drive back in the direction of KL. You will be able to exit for Lentang after passing through the toll again.
