Guess who wins?
Dear friends,
Went shopping with a group of my students. We always have fun shopping although rushed. But it’s nice getting things for people and animals.
You know I came across this arcade when a group of us went shopping and I couldn’t resist for them. The group assisting me played the arcade. Notice the score behind on the machine. You wouldn’t believe who won and Pastor Loh Seng Piow was distraught for losing to a girl. Watch the score and his expression when he loses… LOL. Funny!!
Bumper cars has been a favorite of mine. I didn’t get on due to my tailbone being under treatment otherwise I love bumper cars. So I shot the video.. It’s a good way to ‘get them back’ when we get on the bumper cars…LOL.
Fun and funny Kecharians. You gotta love them. I do.

Have fun and be kind always….

Dear Rinpoche,
I love seeing these type of snippets more as it showcases the other aspect of Dharma. This presentation of Dharma is much more personal, realistic and unpretentious. It has the power to deeply resonate with people like us on an emotional level, reflecting the truth and authenticity of a genuine Dharma and how we can relate that in our daily lives.
I believe this ‘relaxation time’ has somehow helped sparked their journey in Dharma. Some of them are still here such as Pastor Seng Piow and Jean Mei too. I hope this video will inspire many young people to join in Dharma because Dharma is life, not just chanting or praying all day long.
Thank you Rinpoche.
It doesn’t matter who wins. Most important is to compromise and everyone will be happy. Benefiting each other in a win win situation is good. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video. _/\_
In the end, it does not matter who won, who lost. It is the spirit of it all. I am sure whoever played the game enjoyed themselves and that is important.
Send Piow – are you going for a return match?
When we work, when we are facing other people or when we were outside, we may be hiding a mask and hide our real character. But when comes to playing, sometimes it can reveal our real character. our ‘devil’ side start to show especially when we kept losing, hehe, so interesting that how our life, when it is incorporate with Dharma, our true self will be nakedly appear in front of the people so easily.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video, what the video telling us is not to continue to hide our character but to realize it, face it and change it from the root.
You win, I lose. You lose, I win.
What does it matter? What matters is that in any game, you enjoy yourself to the fullest.
Very funny. Jean Mei is having very much fun playing the game while Seng Piow plays intending to win. Watch and learn from your opponent! Defense is important not just offensive only. It looks like a very fun game! You don’t need long hands to win the game! HAhaha 🙂
It looks so fun! I’ve never seen this game at the arcade before hahaha. Jean mei was so good beating all of them haha such quick reflexes. It was really funny when Seng Piow was suddenly so aggressive playing against jean mei and his face of defeat was just priceless hehe.
This footage is sooo funny… such simple arcade games can reveal our latent but somewhat hidden characters… especially when highlighted by our Guru… 😛
I love bumper cars too!!! Super fun especially if its the adult ones whereby it faster and stronger!!! 😛
This is so nice, that all of them are very enjoy the outing and having fun together 🙂
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this video.
Oh dear, I am sorry to read learn that you had injured your coccyx and yet you did let that injuries bother you and share with us this video in the arcade. You kindness and selfless is for us to benchmark ourself and learn to be like you. I would be so grouchy and aggitate. I hope you are feeling better now. I hope the girls and boys enjoyed the fun time in the arcade and I am sure they are not bother by the scores. thank you once again.
hahahahaha, uncle Seng Piow’s face was so funny when he lost. looks like they had a real blast having fun, while shopping with their guru. i hope i can do something like this with Rinpoche sometime.
When it comes to games, we can see the true colours of people. Whether they are competitive or not. But it is all for the fun among Dharma bros and sis. Hang loose Seng Piow, it is not about winning all the time. Hehe……
Thank you for the sharing Rinpoche. Good to know that our Kecharians know to work hard and play hard. But who say that the female is the weaker sex.Wow!!! she really play a mean game of offence. No chance for the boys.I would know who I should choose as a partner for mix double…Booking first.
Who says dharma has to be sooooooo Serious? Dharma can be serious, fun, responsible, silly, esentric, hard, soft, loving, generous, fashionable, socialize, group, team work, care, kindness.
The reaction of losing on Seng Piow’s face was a common reaction when we can get what we want. Like most of us. Dharma is Not about winning. It’s about Achieving with effort.
Haha… Looks like fun and tiring at the same time! I always believe that it doesnt matter whether we win or lose but to enjoy the time during the games! SO much fun and laughter! I am sure everyone there had lots of fun! Am happy for you guys!
The team have a lot of fun! I can felt that they really enjoyed!
From the video, looks like everyone, losers and winners had a great time. It’s so funny to see Seng Piow’s reaction when he lost to Jean Mei. He tried so hard to the extend of cheating just to win. In every game there is always a winner and a loser and as the saying goes “may the best man win.”. Haha dharma can be fun……
Thank you for the videos… looks like everyone had a great time… Jean Mei is definitely the arcade carrom queen!!! Poor JJ and SP to lose to Jean Mei 😀 Kecharians sure are funny…
I love the tagline “Have fun and be kind always…” 🙂
dharma can be fun!
Glad to see the team having some games and fun together after so much hard works.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing this !
Hahaha! Seng Piow’s expressions are always priceless. He doesn’t talk much but he does express a lot through his face and demeanor. It’s funny how hard he concentrated to win because he hates losing particularly to a girl. And I really like how Rinpoche just films it all and the little commentary from Rinpoche is also very interesting. I love these little candid camera shots. It does punctuate the blog with a bit of humor and life. Rinpoche does have the amazing mix of blog articles anywhere!
Dear Rinpoche,
Hehehe Dharma can really get really fun sometimes!!!
It was amazing to see the bboys and aunty Joy losing to the Arcade Queen so easily.
What was even more funnier was Seng Piow’s face when he lost to Jean Mei.
If I am not mistaken I think I also heard Uncle Seng Piow growl at his first missed go at the toy crane… lol!
Thank you Rinpoche for always taking care of your students and making sure that they are not bored or feeling left out.
Love
Jutika
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! HOW FUN!!! GO JEAN MEI!!! Seng Piow was extremely funny and serious. lol.
Rinpoche loves the arcade and used to go to the arcade when Rinpoche was in the USA. I remember from Rinpoche’s biography and interviewing Rinpoche’s cousins in the USA that Rinpoche loved to play the pac-man game as well as bumper cars.
Dharma is fun, because the Dharma and you cannot be seperate. Everything you do, say, how you react, is a result of your Dharma practise.
Win or Lose is not important, the most important for games, it is just for fun together and laugh together. Good to see all of the Kecharians have fun while playing games together. Even those i am not in the games, but can felt the Happiness from the video. :))
Thank You Rinpoche for sharing the video.
Best Regards : Eric kksiow
Hehe Jean Mei is so cute! And she is winning so effortlessly! Lol wonder why is Seng Piow so serious? Hehe
I think playing arcade games can teach us a Dharmic lesson in a way. To teach us to not be too egoistic and to have good sportsmanship. Hehe Wish I can join Jean Mei and Seng Piow too. Hehe
Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche! =)
Dear Rinpoche, everyone looked like they are having a lots of fun. I have never seen a pac-man game in arcades I guessed they are very rare and Jean Mei is so good in that game, she beat everyone (but maybe she can’t Rinpoche) LOL. I hope Rinpoche’s tailbone will heal faster so that Rinpoche can do whatever Rinpoche loves to do.
Thank You for sharing the video Rinpoche, I enjoyed myself a lot while watching it. It’s nice to know that everyone includes Rinpoche, was having a lot of fun. I love to ride on a bumper car too! I remember once when I was in Time Square with my friends, what we did for the whole day was riding the cars, it was really fun.
It is so fun! Hahaha!
Jean Mei is the arcade queen!
Rinpoche cares for all aspects of a person / beings. he even make sure the students have some fun & exercise other than work only!
Dharma is the only thing that I have seen that is both work and play. Seng Piow’s face was hilarious upon losing to a girl but then again, girls tend to win more often in air hockey due to speed and flexibility.
Awareness, despite being a key factor in the game, must also be paired with speed. Just like Dharma. One cannot be aware about something and not be quick to respond. Responding, like catching the puck, is as important as noticing the puck being hit by the opponent.
Also, Seng Piow cheated a bit by going over the middle line which is set up as a boundary. Another lesson learned here, cheaters can’t win especially with such slow speed as there is a higher distance. So, why take the long way and fail rather than take the short way and succeed?
haha! this is actually really funny to watch! I liked Seng Piow’s reaction when he lost 😀 hehe, thank you for sharing Rinpoche.
dharma can be fun .work together happy together isnt it nice ?thank you rinpoche you always take care many ways.
LOL Seng Piow’s face when he lost to a GIRL hahahaha and how serious he was when he was playing…and he was cheating! He stretched over to her side once or twice! Hahaha Seng Piow is very very funny!
