Jaruwan & Green from Thailand
Yesterday, 2 of my students Wan (branch manager of KP SS2). and Shin (E-division staff & Liaison Beng Kooi’s assistant) flew to Thailand for a day trip. They went there to give Green and Jaruwan gifts on my behalf.
It was through their contact with Beng Kooi, whom they requested a divination regarding a serious upcoming surgery that my attendants knew about their troubles. When they found out that two of my students were going to visit, they were extremely happy and went to pick Wan and Shin up from the airport and bought them lunch!
One of them is going for a serious surgery tomorrow, so I wanted to send some prayers and make sure they go for their surgery with confidence and strength. Along with that, I’ve also passed them 2 statues, some dharma books, prayers, DVDS, vitamins, mala beads and a stuffed toy! I passed Green a Setrap statue as she has been doing Setrap’s practice for quite some time now…and I passed Jaruwan a medicine Buddha statue. According to Wan and Shin, they were very shocked and happy to receive the statues hehe, I hope that this encourages their practice.
Wan and Shin told me that, speaking in both English and Thai (good thing Wan is Thai herself! She is a good translator..), Green and Jaruwan had a lot of questions regarding Buddhism in general. I have passed them some dharma books as I know that they like to read and are very interested in Tibetan Buddhism.
This is not the first time that I have heard about Green and Jaruwan, they have bought me gifts before. They are both very friendly and kind people and have expressed that they would like to visit Kechara one day…they are always welcomed here!! Green’s mother has visited the Kechara Paradise outlet in Penang before, it’s good that we have outlets all around Malaysia as it makes it easier for people to gain access to them.
I would like to thank Wan and Shin for bringing my message to two special friends in Thailand. Wan and Shin sent me nice updates and said those friends were very happy and ready for the surgery today. I want them to be safe, healthy and happy. Thank you Wan and Shin for being the messengers of love and prayers on my behalf for our Thai friends.

Dear Rinpoche,
Thank you so much for the gifts you have given Jaruwan and I. I have finished reading all the books and watched the DVDs except for one last book which is the book “Buddhist Masters of Enchantment: The Lives and Legends of the Mahasiddhas.” I enjoyed reading all the books and I loved the DVD on the Pilgrimmage to Nepal. I just wanted to share with others that while I was talking to Wan and Shin during gift opening that I never expected to have such a huge Setrap statue. I told them that I had an image that I downloaded and framed put on my alter, then I got a setrap box set…then suddenly there is this huge setrap statue. Wan and Shin told me that, you know, “Rinpoche said that images and statues do grow.” Sure enough, for me, it sure did GROW! Jaruwan and I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for us and what it means to us. So, once again, thank you so much Rinpoche for showing us the way!
Best Wishes,
Green
It has been quite some time since we heard of Khun Jaruwan and Green; i pray that they are doing fine now – sabai di di, chok di naaaa!
Rinpoche is a real Bodhisattva and full of Compassion. He doesn’t devide himself whether he knows you personally or not. I have heard Jaruwan and Green have in the past made Tsa Tsa offerings to Rinpoche. They have so much faith ands believe in Rinpoche although they have not met Rinpoche in person. And Rinpoche doesn’t have to think about how close you are to him in relationship or friendship. He only thinks about making people happy and they don’t suffer. Jaruwan and Green was very happy that Rinpoche still cares for them even though they have never met. Rinpoche cares for all Sentient Beings unconditionally. Jaruwan and Green was very happy and grateful that Rinpoche need not have to be there but only send his students to represent him is enough.
Tsem Rinpoche. I have never seen your face up close in my life, or even spoken to you on the phone, but your impact on my life has been greater than anyone but my own parents, or my one sister. What Shirley Tan says is no exaggeration.
I hope you can equal the compassion I know you strive to achieve, the compassion of your own MOST holy Guru’s. I cannot fathom that you are far from their level.
I know you don’t like the spotlight, I’m just writing what my heart says. We should all be an Emanation of compassion, why should you and your Guru’s be all alone in achieving real compassion?
From America, I fold my hands.

Rinpoche, as one of your student of 5 years – not a day goes by that Rinpoche has not amazed me with your great capacity to care for others. Distance is not an issue, nothing is ever an issue. There are no obstacles big enough for Rinpoche to show how much you care and how much you would help others without any personal agenda at all.
I have seen Rinpoche help people whom Rinpoche have not met before and may never meet. It is just so spontaneous and natural for Rinpoche to immediately to show genuine concern for anyone – even animals. Especially, animals.
Not many how Rinpoche drives by different places, buys food and feed stray animals regularly. It doesn’t matter the time or day. And certainly not many people would know how much Rinpoche gives to every single person Rinpoche comes in contact with – be it online or in person.
These are just some of the things I have personally witnessed. And I am always surprised and amazed. I know I should not be by now as I have seen so many instances of Rinpoche doing all the above and more. But I still am. I guess, I will never stop being amazed at how boundless compassion truly is.
Rinpoche, you are a true portrait of compassion in action.
Dear shirley,
I thank you for what you wrote. I must say the truth..for me, there is no other way to live but to benefit others.
When I look at great lamas like Dalai Lama, Panchen Lama, Trijang Rinpoche, etc, I feel ashamed and I do so little. But I will push myself to do more and more. I have accomplished very little in my life, and to what I want to accomplish so far.. But I wish to build an institution called KWPC where the study curriculum is : COMPASSION.
