Shelly and Ron invite a 3-foot Lama Tsongkhapa!!
(By Tsem Rinpoche)
During the KP SS2 opening, Shelly and Ron Tai bought a 3-foot Lama Tsongkhapa statue…and 2 days ago, they invited Him to their home! After the Buddha entered their home, Shelly and Ron made aspirational prayers before offering khatas to Lama Tsongkhapa. They then recited Gaden Lhagyama (guru yoga) and did serkym (black tea) offerings to Setrap.
Liaisons Henry and Jamie, Girlie, Ling, Gim Lee, Choi Sheem, Mr Lam, Pavara, Jutika, outlet managers Wan, Albert and Chia, along with Tai’s relatives, friends and neighbours (about 10 of them!) joined the puja. Wow, so many of them!! hehe So many Kecharians to support Shelly and Ron. Lovely.
Shelly and Ron have been Kecharians for 9 months now. Although they both have full-time jobs (Shelly’s a pilate’s instructor and Ron works just above Kechara House 1!) they attend Setrap and Manjushri pujas regularly, help out at Manjushri Kid’s class (MKC), and are regular customers of Kechara Paradise!! It’s amazing how much they have participated so far…they always try to help however they can. They even sponsored 2 tables at our KSK auction dinner! Shelley and Ron have a beautiful 7 year old daughter called Ashley whom they love very much. They always dedicate their merits towards her health and happiness..they are parents who just wants their daughter to be happy and to grow up to be a good and intelligent lady.
I rejoice in their great merits and fortune to bring Lama Tsongkapa home. The blessings, merits and good luck they have brought to their family through this action is immeasurable. More and more people sharing the benefits of Tsongkapa with their family. I am truly happy for them.

[…] Shelly and Ron invite a 3-foot Lama Tsongkhapa!! […]
This is amazing! I too wish I can invite a 3ft Lama Tsongkhapa statue! or perhaps even bigger! heheh yes I admit..I’m greedy!!!
Beautiful altar! Rejoice for Shelly and Ron!
It is really good to hear of how so many more people are inviting large Buddha statues back to their homes, and having a central altar for their family to make offerings and do prayers in.
It’s so easy to do this now too, since KP (kechara.com/paradise) offer such a beautiful range of images, and KSA (kechara.com/ksa) personalise them according to individuals’ altars, tastes. Also, Kechara offer the extra special service of going to friends’ homes to help them set up and invite their statues in the traditional way, including a puja. After all, it isn’t just about setting up a statue but literally inviting a Buddha into our home.
I love this perspective – “After all, it isn’t just about setting up a statue but literally inviting a Buddha into our home.” You know, I don’t usually think of it this way, thank you for purifying & correcting my wrong view.
I rejoice for Shelly, Ron and Ashley to have such a beautiful Lama Tsongkhapa in their home. We are so fortunate that Rinpoche has brought the blessings of Lama Tsongkhapa to us here in Malaysia. It is only through Rinpoche’s kindness that it is now so easy for us to have such holy statues in our homes through Kechara Paradise, Kechara Discovery and Kechara Saraswati Arts.
Rinpoche and everyone in these departments work very hard so that anyone can bring harmony, peace and stability to our families and our lives.
Kechara InMotion has done a testimonial video of Shelly Tai shares her story about how Dharma changes her. It’s a very good story and the video will out soon in October.
I am touched by her story of how much loves from parents to their kids. I rejoice for them that Dharma not only help the daughther but both Shelly and Ron too!!
It doesn’t need any magic power to turn the bad thing to good, it only have to realize that what has happened is happened, find a good point of it, and ways to channel it to the good side.
Shelly told me this morning that she is doing full prostration everyday and wish to achieve 100,000 times in 2 years, and dedicate all the merits to her daughter! Rejoice!
Yes, it was a joyful occasion when Ron and Shelly invited their 3′ Lama Tsongkhapa to their home. Their relatives and neighbours showed up to pay respect to Lama Tsongkhapa and to receive blessings during the puja.
They have a beautiful home in a quiet neighbourhood with Lama Tsongkhapa sitting majestically on the altar facing out of their house main door.
More big Lama Tsongkhapa statues are being invited home by more people to bring harmony, stability and peace to their environment.
Shelly Tai and Ron are a very lovely young couple who has a lovely kid daughter Ashley. Ron have a business Company office just on top of KH1. His partner called Mr. Fong use to come everyday to meditate in our Setrap Chapel in KH1 when KH2 was not opened then. When KH2 opened later. KH2 have started MKC classes and because Shelley wanted to send her daughter to dharma class. Mr. Fong introduced them to KH2. During the opening of KPSS2 they had invited a 3ft Lama Tsongkhapa. A few days ago it was brought back to their home with 10 people doing puja to consecrate the statue. To dedicate to their daughter, Shelley told me she has pledged to go on full vegetgarian.
Congratulations! What a joyous occasion; most of all, such sublime blessings!
How beautiful and wonderful! Thank you for sharing. May it benefit us all.
