Dear students and friends,
Just a few days ago, Mr Paul Yap, my long-time student and CEO of Kechara House sent me a very interesting update. He told me that he was having dinner with three Kechara Paradise staff as an appreciation for achieving their set target for 2013. After hearing about that, I thought that I should blog about these three dedicated Kecharians as I truly rejoice for them. Everyone should have targets, regardless of your job. By setting targets, you will have something to aim towards… and it’ll be easier to manage your performance proactively!
When I first came to Malaysia in 1992, I noticed that it was very difficult to get Dharma items. Whenever Kechara needed ritual items, statues, incense, Dharma books etc, we would need to travel to India or have them shipped over. It would be a very long and tedious process just to get the simplest items that one day I thought, why not set up a Tibetan Himalayan shop in Malaysia? And that’s how Kechara Paradise came about.
We now have 5 Dharma shops in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. They’re all in strategic locations to provide easy accessibility for anyone to invite home Dharma items and Tibetan Himalayan artifacts. Lately, I’ve heard from my students that there are many people coming in to ask how to set up altars. How wonderful!
I would like to thank Darren, Felix and Eric for always putting Dharma first. I want to thank them for working hard and being successful in Kechara and in the process make themselves successful. I am proud of them. It is wonderful and satisfying when we do our work well! When we all work in our various jobs well it, it makes the organization grow so we can serve and be of more benefit to others. I like this very much. Kechara growing big or not isn’t the main point, but we being equipped to serve others better therefore growth is good in that sense. Thank you Darren, Felix and Eric. Wonderful news!

How did you managed to hit your target for 2013? A sharing by Eric, Darren and Felix.
“I did not even think about the target, I just did what I was supposed to… and before I knew it, in November 2013, the managers congratulated me for hitting my yearly target. I never saw the ‘target’ as a burden or work, after all, it is Dharma, and I enjoy sharing Dharma with my customers in Kechara Paradise. I think the key is to have sincerity and a genuine attitude to help our customers.”
– Eric
“First of all is to share Dharma knowledge to customers which is to learn from Rinpoche’s blog. We need to listen to the customer’s request and needs, then give them advice and suggestions based on what is suitable for them. Team work is also very important, without them it will be very difficult to achieve. I’m always happy to see customers coming back to share with us about being happy or that their problems were solved after practicing Dharma”
– Felix
“I think for me, it is Rinpoche’s teachings that helped me to focus and keep myself motivated. Without the Dharma knowledge I acquired from Rinpoche, I would never have been able to achieve the sales target. Also all my Dharma brothers and sisters that guided me, they have helped in many ways. To me, it is being a better person and always be aware and mindful. We need to prepare the path for everyone to reach Buddhahood, so with that motivation, I share Dharma with others”
– Darren
Paul is truly dedicated to his work… he also takes care of other Kecharians and guides them in the right direction to achieve results in their work! Paul is very results orientated.

Congratulations to these three gentleman, thank them for sharing Dharma with people and also introducing Dharma items, KP is actually one of the way to let people know about Kechara, I am one of the people know Kechara from KP(one utama outlet), the one who served me is Eric, without him probably I have never got the chance to know Rinpoche and Kechara, thank you Eric. Besides this, introducing Dharma items to others actually helps them to collect merits, how wonderful it is! Yes, setting target is very important, this helps us to set our plan clearly and we can have better monitoring about the progress in order to achieve target. I am here wish KP continuously growing and always achieve more and more not only profit amount but also Dharma spreading.
They are very hardworking, patient! The most important , they always listen to the customers and also advise the customers base on Dharma knowledge they have listened and learn under H.H Tsem Rinpoche.
Mr. Paul, our CEO. Although he is ill with severe spine pain. But never a second he stopped his Dharma work. Every departments he goes, he will be attentive to the small details and show care to the stuffs.

Hitting the targets given, means the 3 of you have directly and indirectly impacted many with Kechara’s products and the Dharma. Also, introducing our guru, Tsem Rinpoche to many in Malaysia.
I rejoice for all of us!
Thank you!
Congratulations to Darren, Eric & Felix for meeting & exceeding targets, and happy to learn that Kechara is under good leadership.
Being dedicated to your work in kechara is very much didderent from being at some other working institution working for monetary benefits. Functions of work at kechara concerns “work of Dharma nature” and therefore you are engaging in Dharma work, which is a useful and required activity for Society. Today’s society do need Dharma, a teching handed down by Shakyamuni Buddha to benefit all sentient beings. Working for a Dharma centre like Kechara Centre is helping to spread dharma; in a way we are helping sentient beings to be liberated from samsara. As one highly respected Lama said, “Whatever collects the most extensive merits, whatever becomes the most powerful purification is what brings us higher realizations and transform our mind. Therefore, the results of being dedicated to your work at Kechara is to accomplish perfection in your spiritual achievements for a perfect future life. Om mani Padme Hung!
Congratulation Erick, Darren and Felix, u all deserve for the gifts…
KP team are always ready to serve all customers or Kecharians hence they always upgrade their Dharma knowledge by attending Dharma class and Rinpoche teaching…
They always make the Motivation to help others rather than focus their own sales target…
Congratulations for Eric, Darren and Felix who work very hard and achieve their target. They really put in efforts to learn Dharma knowledge from Rinpoche’s blog and apply on their job. It was nice to have professional Kechara teams to promote dharma to everyone.
Thank you Felix, Darren and Eric for working hard to liberate others and set good examples that when life is spent on others, it’s a true rewards 🙂
We are not very close friends as we didn’t spend a lot of time to be physically together, but yet when I meet them in Kechara Paradise or Kechara House, I feel we are long time friends. I think this is because we share the same goal.
I will always “question” them, did they promote our Dharma items such as Rinpoche’s teachings DVD or the music album by Kechara hehe….they will feed back to me what the customers think about these items. I appreciate these conversation very much because I need to know the comments to do better next time.
Talking to them is like talking to our own family member. We are all working in a giant robot, bring benefits to others, while we are the different part of the robot to make the robot moves.
I rejoice for them very much! May they always be there to help others and have a fruitful spiritual journey! 🙂
Rejoice for Eric, Felix and Darren. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Always a welcoming smile and discreet service and ready to share their knowledge. They believe in what they ‘sell’, my regards and respect for achieving their objectives.

Congratulations to you guys! At first I thought I would leave a comment on the previous post first but I think you guys deserved this compliment first! Traditionally, we are encourage to do more retreats (of course it is still relevant today ) but due to circumstances we might not be able to so as we wished. Hence, in my opinion, you guys have helped many spiritual aspirants progressing in their path. What a great way to collect merit! I hope eventually this path will leads you guys towards enlightenment.

Congratulations to Eric, Darren and Felix for achieving your targets for 2013. By achieving the targets all of you must have worked hard to stay focus on sharing Dharma. Many people would have benefitted from your achievements. But the biggest plus point here,is that you have performed and delivered what you have promised. For me that is inspiring and I believe that is the very foundation in our Dharma practice which Rinpoche has tirelessly reminded us all the time. I rejoice for all of you. And its wonderful that your actions have brought so much joy to Rinpoche.
