“Doggie” in Tsem Ladrang, Nepal
This is ‘Doggie’. She’s the resident dog in Tsem Ladrang, Nepal. The last time I saw her, she was a small little puppy… but look at her now! She’s fully grown and a beautiful girl. We have a beautiful Ladrang in the mountains of Nepal. We also have a wonderful Vajra Yogini butterlamp house here.
Doggie is Raj Kumar‘s dog. She’s playful, very obedient and very loving. In the morning, she’ll stick her head past the back door to sniff the rubbish bin which is right next to the door inside the kitchen. Hehe
Raj Kumar is a big animal lover, he has 3 dogs of his own at home. He brought Doggie to stay at Tsem Ladrang (Nepal) to guard and take care of the house.
Doggie is a lucky dog, and she gets the whole annex as well as the run of the Ladrang grounds to herself! There are 3 buildings in Tsem Ladrang Nepal – the main ladrang, a Vajrayogini butterlamp chapel and an annex. The annex is 2 storeys high with a balcony. That is Doggie’s house, although she does share it with the guard hehe
She follows instructions, both in English and Nepalese.
When a few Kecharians went for a pilgrimage to Nepal in December 2010, one of the pilgrims called Wee Liang sponsored 3 bags of dog food for her. Look at Doggie on the right, she is a natural poser… What a great spokesperson she would be for Pedigree!

Dear Rinpoche, How is Doggie doing? She is very cute and she looked very humble from the pictures above. I think Doggie barely knows Adrian but incredibly she let Adrian touch her, not many dogs are as nice as Doggie. May Doggie have a good health and long live.
Hehe! Doggie is so cute! It’s really good that Raj Kumar takes very good care of the dogs. The doggies are so lucky! People should adopt strays instead of getting them from a pet shop. Stray dogs need our help.
Thank You for sharing Rinpoche.
Love, beatrix.
Wow! Doggie is so cute!!
It is good to have animal shelters in other places where we have kecharians. If we have people in foreign countries is good because in places far away from us we can prevent people from harming these innocent creatures.
Nepalese have easy life they are not fancy that is why the dog was not called with fancy names.
The ladrang in Nepal is really helpful to rescue stray dogs.
We should also adopt stray dogs to prevent any harm to these dogs.
A doggie named Doggie hahaha it made me laugh to hear she had such a simple name but it also reminded me of the (mostly!) simple lives that the Nepalese lead…dog is called Doggie, fish is called Fishie, etc. Doggie may have been reborn as a doggie, but she has also been reborn with the merit to guard the Ladrang in Nepal…may it help her to create the causes for a better rebirth!
Nice
I was there as well with Adrian along with a few Kechara members. Doggie is very cute and intelligent. She’s bilingual! hehe. When we found out that Raj Kumar could only afford to feed her milk and rice, Wee Liang said that he’ll sponsor Doggie’s food every month.
So we immediately bought a 15kg bag of dog food from a nearby supermarket. Doggie loved the dog biscuits! She ate her bowl of biscuits within seconds. hehe.
Nice : )
