Overview
Organic Express, nestled parallel to the main road that leads to the heart of SS2, is located right next to Lobsterman. At first glance, Organic Express exudes a cosy ambiance, akin to that of a homely Italian restaurant. The tables are covered with red-white checkered table cloths, complimenting both Mr. Low’s personal collection of mishmash decorations and culinary aroma seeping through the kitchen door. Organic Express is a restaurant which provides a delectable meat-free dining experience serving both Western and Chinese cuisine. It is simply a place where you can enjoy healthy organic meat-free food.
The founder/owner, Mr. Low, is a very passionate vegetarian with a great sense of humor. With a wide range of experience in the F&B industry (especially those related to vegetarian food), Mr. Low definitely knows how to satisfy a vegetarian’s taste bud. Along with his passion, his motive to provide and encourage healthy meat-free dining is heartfelt and sincere.
If the food and ambiance fails to satisfy you, the extremely friendly staff gives any customer a fabulous dining experience at Organic Express. They provide that little extra touch which we all may agree is perhaps rather rare these days…
Reviewer’s Ratings
Interior – 4/5
Organic Express has a nice ambiance. Diners in this restaurant enjoy the cosy feeling which makes them feel like they’re dining in the comfort of their own home. The interior is simple yet pleasant, and the wall decorations are all special collections belonging to Mr Low (Owner of Organic Express). The restaurant is not too big, but it is able to comfortably house at least 50 customers at any given time.

Food – 4.5/5
Organic Express really lives up to its name! They certainly don’t keep their hungry customers waiting for long as orders come no later than 15 minutes, even when it’s a full-house. Here are some of Organic Express’ famous dishes personally recommended by the restaurant owner himself!
What stands out most is their vegetarian pizza, topped with delicious vegetarian cheese. Not a single drop of oil is found dripping off the crust.
Another dish that is most notable is their house specialty, Vegetarian Assam Fish (Vegetarian Sour Sauce Fish). The taste of the gravy is not too sour. It contains a variety of vegetables that are neatly chopped into bite sizes and cooked just right. It can be perfectly complimented with simple bowl of brown rice.

Pricing – 4/5
Organic Express’ dishes are priced just like any other restaurant of it’s kind. It is not expensive, yet not too under-priced, which makes it extremely reasonable considering the restaurant’s food quality. Customers would expect the price range to hover around RM 16-25 per person. A reasonable price to pay for a healthy and great tasting meal.
Vegetarian Selection – 4.5/5
Organic Express serves a wide selection of both Oriental and Western cuisines. The beauty of this restaurant is that the menu does not stay stagnant and new dishes are added occasionally. In fact, Mr Low informed the Vegetarian Restaurant Review team that he is currently developing a new dish which will be served at Organic Express, SOON… once he has perfected the taste, of course.
Service – 4.5/5
The service is excellent! The staff at Organic Express will greet customers from the point they enter the doorstep till they step out. Much care is placed on customer service, ensuring that all of their diners has a great dining experience. Mr Low is a very interactive person, and knows most of his regulars by name! He personally greets his customers and supervises to ensure that his customers enjoys a good meal.
Upon exiting the restaurant, customer’s display a facial expression which says “I’ll be coming back for more!”. Great service, food and satisfied customers… now that, is priceless.
Find your way there!

Thank You for sharing Rinpoche, I’ve not been to this restaurant before, the place looks neat! The food look good, especially the Hawaiian Pizza! Yummy! I shall ask my parents to bring my brother and I there someday.
Anumodana and Sadhu to you Brother Low, for your generous contributions to our Bandar Utama Buddhist Society Wesak Celebrations yesterday.
Visited the restaurant with Henry and Kechara outlet managers some time back and the food is nice! The place is cozy and comfortable. Lots of decorations to look at while waiting for your food. The day we went it was packed. Had to wait quite some time for the table. I really hope they expand the place or open another outlet some where else.
I have been to this restaurant a few times and every time I left with a full stomach satisfied with what we were served. Definitely a place to go to for delicious food.
I love this place. Went there few times, it has never let me down with their food. Not to mention their fruit tea drink…Slurp slurp..i love it. Never leave the place without drinking it.
Nice to know we have a new place to dine. I like their ambiance and the red tablecloth. Very country and cozy. I like it when the restaurant can serve very quick. Nice to have the owner around to tell us what is nice to eat. I will go and have my lunch there when I volunteer in KPSS2 next time! Must get Girlie to go with me.
Just tried it today.Apparently the owner is original owner of organic recipe. Therefore quality is assured n it was good . Easily has most customers among d restaurants near vicinity. Highly recommended.
organic food is not only beneficial to our health, its also kind to mother earth. the interior of Organic Express looks so cosy and friendly. this is a reflection of the owner. Let’s support organic restaurants and vegetarian friendly restaurant owners!
i had lunch at organic express for a few times, like what Rinpoche has mentioned above, the food here is delicious, tasty and fast.
i like fruit tea drink and vegetarian assam fish. There are still many dishes i have not try..
Well.. if you come near by SS2, do come to have a delicious meal..
This is such a helpful review. I like the part of it being very cosy and simple. Sometimes it is nice to dine in a place where you don’t have to wait too long for food, especially for families with young children. It is also good to know that there are so many choices of yummy food that do not have any meat in it. My personal favorite is the pizza. Keep up your good work to help everyone discover more meatless food.

Thank you again for the great review on another venue for vegetarian restaurant. Will sure make time to go try it out.
There is more than vegetarian food to be found in ‘Organic Express. There is the warm ambience and friendly atmosphere; such things are difficult to find in restaurants nowadays, let alone vegetarian restaurants.
So ‘Organic Express’ is a ‘must go’ place for vegetarians.
From the pictures provided, I like the interior design, Western and cozy. Most importantly the service is fast! Hungry people tends to be impatience people.
Wonder the fruit tea tastes like fruit tea offered by the other two vegetarian restaurants I visited before. Vegetarian chef/owner share the same mind/taste? Hehe.
I have talked to Mr Low before, he is very friendly, and because of his friendliness, his entire crew is super friendly and helpful.
The last time I went there, I had western food: Pizza, pasta, etc. Despite the crowd, the food is nicely prepared, and when you don’t know what to order, look for Mr Low and he will recommend you good food. This is something that is missing in Malaysian restaurant nowadays (many restaurants now only have people to take your order, but when you ask them to recommend, they just stand there and stare at you…)
By the way, Mr Low is also the person who started Organic Recipe, which later he sold to the current owner.
Hey, that’s cool to know, Lew.. i didn’t know that Mr Low previously owned Organic Recipe. Organic Recipe used to be really good then somehow the flavour changed and i didn’t know what it was. I wonder if Mr Low was the cook at Organic Recipe or he took his cook with him to Organic Express! I must go and try it!
Very seldom to find owner with such passion for food and his motivation is pure to encourage more people to be vegetarian. Very nice food and homey experience. Everyone should try this, you will have different dining experience 🙂
