From Nepal
Mitra Poudel is a friend of mine from Nepal. He gifted me with these two wonderful paintings of Yeti (Himalayan Bigfoot). My other friend Khom Thapa (KB) arranged for the paintings and brought it back from Nepal and it was given to me. It was painted especially for me and I was very touched by this gesture because both Mitra and KB know I like Bigfoot. It is wonderful when people take the time and care to know what you like and give gifts to match. Very appreciated.
Thank you both very much.

Curious about the legendary Yeti? Not sure what to believe? Here is an article that explores a range of sources, from folktales to newspaper reports, detailing sightings and encounters with the elusive creature, who has been a part of the very fabric of various Himalayan communities for thousands of years. Read about religious beliefs, myths, fables and stories by scholars and travellers alike, and realise that there is more to the Yeti than you previously thought.

This is a real awesome documentary on bigfoot. One of the best – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp5eV9nIEjk&feature=youtu.be
In 1967, Bob Gimlin and Roger Patterson stumbled across an incredible sight whilst out in Bluff Creek, in the California wilderness. At a creek which had been freshly washed-out by recent floods, they witnessed a female Bigfoot swiftly traverse the rugged landscape. Since their filmed encounter with the Bigfoot, who has since been nicknamed Patty, many have disputed the authenticity of their recording but no one has been able to successfully prove that it is a fake.

The two beautiful Yeti painting comes a long way from Nepal with love to Malaysia .Specially for Rinpoche……such a beautiful gift and unique .. Knowing Rinpoche like Bigfoot so much. Every gift which is given, even though it be small, is in reality great, if it is given with affection. It is not the gift but the thought that counts.
Rejoice for Mitra Poudel and Khom Thapa
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing these beautiful paintings.
Rejoice to Mitra and KB for offer such a wonderful gift to Rinpoche. These paintings really beautiful!!
KB and Mitra Poudel are said to have planted good roots in Rinpoche’s favour when they have so wisely given him 2 paintings of Bigfoot, brought all the way back from Nepal. This touches Rinpoche very much. They will receive great bliss in their future lives. Congratualtion to you both!
As we know, Rinpoche likes Yeti painting, However, it’s not easy to found Yeti related painting as compare to others painting for instance mountain etc.I am rejoice to Mitra and KB for their efforts to search then offer these beautiful Yeti painting to Rinpoche. Rejoice to both of you!
Wow..What a thoughtful and generous gesture to be able to procure such beautiful paintings of Bigfoot from Nepal and to get it safely delivered to Rinpoche’s ladrang.Rejoice to both of you…Mitra and KB.
Rejoice for Mitra Poudel and Khom Thapa! This painting of Bigfoot is so unique and special. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the happiness with us.
I feel rejoice, the student always remember Rinpoche!
Dear Rinpoche,
Thanks for this wonderful sharing. The painting look beautiful.
These are exceptionally beautiful paintings of the wonderful phenomenon of the mountains – Bigfoot. I rejoice that Mitra and KB had given these paintings to Rinpoche and thank you to Rinpoche for sharing these wonderful works of art on the blog.
If I am not mistaken, in Nepal, Bigfoot sightings are extremely commonplace. Maybe that is how the artist found inspiration, through an actual sighting. hehe 😛
The quality of the painting is really good. It looks rather “simple” as in it is not hyper-realistic but it really does stand out beautifully.
Wow! It is indeed nice to hear of Mitra’s generosity and kindness. Rinpoche had always been kind and generous to a great many people but seldom do people reciprocate. Remembering and then, returning the kindness of others is a very important aspect of spiritual practice and rinpoche always do that for others. In that way, if we follow Rinpoche, it would be good to follow in his footsteps. Everything is to benefit others including his passion for bigfoot, which I am only just begun to appreciate.
Rejoice to Mitra and KB for the thoughtful and sincere offering to Rinpoche…
I think Rinpoche BigFoot corner will be fill up soon… hehehe…
i m so much happy that Rinpoche like it. And special thanks to kb dai.i know that kb dai did so much hard work on bigfoots painting. thank you agen to khum dai And thank you everyone nice comment.Rinpoche always kind and hi has so much compassion to other .i won’t forget his love and care. Thank you for sharing Rinpoche.
Firstly Rinpoche, These are fantastic painting! They look very very good and the artists are truly talented 🙂 I too like Bigfoot now as i have read many article about Bigfoot from Rinpoche’s blog and i wouldn’t mind having these paintings hung in my room. Rinpoche is lucky to have these very nice paintings from Nepal.
Secondly, i have learnt the kindness from the people in Nepal (especially Rinpoches friend) and KB. Mitra Poudel went out of his way to paint these paintings for Rinpoche and i think that was a very nice thing to do. And then KB organised for the paintings to be brought to Rinpoche which was also a very nice thing.
Lastly, the painting. The painting really expresses Bigfoot. How he lives in peace and how he is not used to being around people. It also shows the environment he resides in and how he moves around 🙂 it is a very good looking and educational painting 🙂
Thank you for sharing Rinpoche. I hope that someday i will be able to see these paintings up close for myself.
Its a very beautiful painting I will have to say.Thank you Mitra and KB for getting this painting for Rinpoche. Both of you are wonderful for using so much effort in getting this painting for Rinpoche,we all should be more like both of you.
Very nice.
When KB got back from Nepal, he immediately showed me the paintings, and said it was for Rinpoche. He was so happy that they could offer it to Rinpoche, and asked for it to be sent quickly over to the USA.
It is nice when appreciation and care is elucidated. Goes to show that these boys are reciprocating what they have learnt and the kindness they have received from Rinpoche throughout the years. Thank you for being great examples, Kb and Mitra!
So thoughtful gift from Mitra to Rinpoche.:)
KB is always helpful and kind to everyone.
Thank you Rinpoche for sharing these nice painting and some of the documentary posts of bigfoot.
Rejoice to you guys Mitra & KB! A gift full of love and devotion towards our guru. ^_^
The paintings are very nice. The texture of the paint makes the painting come out of the canvas and gives it a diverse quality to it. It looks more than just a simple painting. I feel the essence of the painting captures our perception of how we perceive bigfoot as a lone being which lives in isolation but yet is something that is a part of nature.
Rejoice for Mitra and KB. Mitra has been very helpful and kind. He always shares his dharma knowledge with me when I visit KP in SS2.
Very nice painting.Mitra Poudel and Kham Thapa really kind and spent time to arrange such special gift.Salute for the sincere effort . Really happy Rinpoche like the gift .
Rejoice guys! Mitra and KB have show a strong devotion to our guru.
Rinpoche, these are very creative paintings. The Yeti is depicted so life like in its natural surrounding in the mountains. Totally rejoice for Mitra and KB who have given so much thoughts and effort to arrange for these two pieces of artworks on one of Rinpoche’s favourite subject specially painted for Rinpoche.
Indeed thoughtful and added with lots of love and care too. Mitra and KB, both of you are great!
Thank you Mitra and KB for gifting the paintings of Bigfoot to Rinpoche.
