The sightings of Yetis (Bigfoots) in the general Himalayan regions (Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan) are common place for hundreds of years. The locals do not find it a mystery but live respectfully with these beings as they would with other inhabitants of the land

I love watching documentaries searching for Yetis (Bigfoots) in Nepal because it combines the search for these powerful beings with Monasteries, lamas, monks and spectacular landscape. I like this combination very much. With wonderful Nepalese music and the Sherpa people and the anticipation of perhaps finding a Yeti because it has been in the Himalayan region’s folklore and culture for centuries. So many Tibetans, Nepalese and Bhutanese have sighted them for hundreds of years including high lamas and monks. They gain nothing and native people know their land and the inhabitants better than us. They definitely exist. I’ve spoken to Tibetans who have seen them. Huge and brown in color. Some find it a frightening experience and some find it normal. Normal?? Yes, normal.
I still love Nepal, I wish so much I had a small ladrang (residence) in Nepal and I can spend the summers there with a small group, buy lots of sang (juniper) from Bodhanath and offer daily. Sang smells very good when burned and purifies the environment. Buying dharma offering items, butterlamps and related is so easy in Nepal everywhere. I love shopping in Bodhanath, Thamel, Patan so much. I hope I can spend summers there much more often. I love spiritual places imbued with rich ancient culture.

This documentary contains an excellent explanation on the Patterson-Gimlin footage of Bigfoot dubbed Patty. It goes through scientific methods to prove the image on the film is authentic. Please watch and be convinced finally. I’ve always believed the footage was genuine. Mr. Gimlin in all the interviews I’ve watched seemed very genuine and suffered tremendously as a result of the footage.

Nepal is a deeply spiritual country, with temples seemingly around every corner of its streets and alleys. This little country gave rise to one of the most important religious figures in the history of humankind. It’s the birth place of Buddha and an ancient land, with an absorbing history. A country full of diverse ethnic groups, various festivals, breath-taking scenery and rich culture. Most of Nepali traditions are mysteries to those foreign tourists. Been a hotspot for tourist where one can enjoy all kinds of beauty and enjoy the vibrant culture and people that Nepal offers.
The sighting of Yeti in the Himalayan region’s have been folklore and culture for centuries. So many Tibetans, Nepalese and Bhutanese have sighted them for hundreds of years including high lamas and monks. To them seeing one is normal and they respect the Yetis very much. Nepal is indeed a place worth visiting. I will visit if given a chance.

Discovering the hidden mysteries of Nepal through this article. The beautiful snowing mountains and the fascinating landscapes of the spiritual land of Nepal photos was amazing. Even though it’s a small but it offers great adventures for its natural landscapes view. Understand that historically Nepal dates back to medieval times and the culture is one of the richest in the world.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe this spiritual land has the mythical creatures which were real and existing. Thank you for giving a wonderful video and inspiring documentary of the living Yeti in Nepal. I had an opportunity to know further about this spiritual and mystery land of Nepal. Hope the mythical species live safe in Mountain and would attract more tourism to the country.

In 1967, Bob Gimlin and Roger Patterson stumbled across an incredible sight whilst out in Bluff Creek, in the California wilderness. At a creek which had been freshly washed-out by recent floods, they witnessed a female Bigfoot swiftly traverse the rugged landscape. Since their filmed encounter with the Bigfoot, who has since been nicknamed Patty, many have disputed the authenticity of their recording but no one has been able to successfully prove that it is a fake.

Nepal is a beautiful country, with many rural areas skirting the Himalaya landscape remain relatively untouched and often giving the impression of poverty living. On the contrary, I think they have the beauty of nature at their doorstep and spirituality in the air. They even have the mysterious creature, Yeti, thrown in to add to the allure.
Generally, the people of Nepal readily acknowledged the existence of Yeti as it largely has to do with the traditional belief that Yeti used to serve as the messenger for high lamas who live far apart or in solitary. Today, Yeti remains an elusive being who invokes the fantasy of many who regard them as the guardian of these untouched pure land. Thank you for this sharing.
Nepal is really a major spiritual destination of the world where you find numerous numbers of temples. This mysterious and deeply spiritual country provides a chance delve into history and religion, to learn, discover and explore. It won’t be surprised the Nepalese discovered and sighting of yeti in the remote mountains. For centuries it has been in the Himalayan region’s folklore and culture. Yeti definitely exist as centuries ago ,many high lamas, monks and locals have sighted them. Those who had close encounters with the mysterious animal, travelled hundreds of miles through unexplored mountains to discover the truth behind the animals so called Yeti.

I’m sorry but any romantic illusions I had of Nepal have been destroyed after I discovered that every five years it stages the world biggest religious sacrifice of animals in the world. The next animal killing festival is in November 2014 when as many as 500,000 animals will be slaughtered cruelly.
I understand Nepal is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha and I am appalled that the Nepal Government is financing this atrocity.
It is attended by some 5 million Hindus from India They go to Nepal because animal killing is not allowed in India.
It is a shameful example of how religion can be responsible for evil and it has changed my image of Nepal forever.

Nepal, especially Kathmandu, is the city that I have most visited, 20 visits over a period of 15 years. The religion of the indigenous people of Kathmandu, Newar, is steeped in Hinduism and Buddhism. There are many religious temples and shrines in Kathmandu and its surrounding areas. One may want to visit and make offerings to Vajrayogini at Bijeswari, Sangkhu, Mahaboudha Temple in Patan, Pharphing, just to name a few. Or visit the cave where Tilopa and Naropa meditated in. Boudhanath is a must visit including Swayambunath Monkey Temple. You must not miss Lumbini, Buddha’s birth place. There are many places to visit, many things to do in Nepal.
No, I have not seen a yeti because I have not ventured into Nepal’s wilderness nor trekked its majestic mountains.
Nepalese mountainous landscaping-views are really worth admiring. Anyone with such interests for such natural beauty and glamorous sceneries can easily be attracted to be attached to them! It is also believed that “Yetis” are existing in these Nepalese, Tibetan and Bhutanese mountains as said in the folklore, but many people, including high lamas and monks have sighted them. They are actually a everyday fact of life in Tibetan culture as said. Tibetans talked about them like americans talk about coffee in america – which is nothing exceptional. It is also spectacular that Bodhanath stupa in Nepal is one of those centres most fortunate to have the relics of Buddha’s body too, amongst representatives of other eight countries in the World. With proper motification and sincere mindfulness of circumbulation, merit of achievement of one’s wishes is greatly increased at these places of Pilgrimages through what is referred to as “The existence of the power of object”.

I had the great fortune to visit Nepal Ladrang few years ago, its was a great experience led and guided by Su Ming all the way on a Kechara Discovery trip. Nepal had a very intrinsic feel to spirituality, everyone was surviving life but held spiritualism very close to their hearts. I loved the culture in Nepal, it didn’t feel pretentious and everyone was very accepting of each other. It may be dusty, rugged and a few years back in technology but you feel more at peace and calm when you’re there. I dearly miss Nepal very much and especially Nepal Ladrang. Would be a great experience though to witness first hand a Yeti in Nepal hiking through the mountains.
These pictures looked so spectacular! I wish i will have a chance to visit Nepal again with Rinpoche and stay there for a long time, its peaceful, serene and filled with spirituality, i really love this place. May Tsem Ladrang will manifest in Nepal soon so that Rinpoche can spend His summer holidays there!
My daughter keeps telling me that she loves Nepal so much and would like to stay there for a longer period and more often. We were there for about a week last December. It is a very, very spiritual country.
Nepal is truly a beautiful place. I loved seeing the different places in the images above. It looks very peaceful and surely the most perfect place to live in. It is very one with nature and I find that very cozy. Thank you for sharing the pictures and articles with us Rinpoche.
Thank you for sharing on this beautiful land. I was lucky to have been there twice in the last few years. I love Boudanath . I love the Vajrayogini temples all over Nepal. Theses temples have existed for decades and are still maintained by the family that resides there, generation after generation. They have an aura of peace and magic in these highly spiritual places where Vajrayogini have been sighted to have appeared.Everyone should aspire to go to Nepal at least once in their lifetime.

Due the remote location ,there could be some form of beings who had been thought to be extinct still very much alive there.
We do wish in the near future,we have the merit to visit this incredibly beautiful and holy land for the attained dharma practitioner of the past and present.

If Rinpoche believes in the existence of Big Foot and Yeti, they must be real. When I was younger, I was always intrigued by Big Foot, Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster.
Many ventured to their sighted areas only to want to catch a glimpse of them but failed. I wish I can see them too during this lifetime…
Nepal, Tibet are holy lands that I must visit too. Hope to visit these areas with Rinpoche. They are really beautiful from the pictures posted…and I pray Rinpoche’s wish will come true to have a Ladrang there.
Big ones in Malaysia, small ones in US, Nepal and any other areas Rinpoche feels comfortable with.

I would really like to visit Nepal. It is not only beautiful but they are told to contain one of the most wonderful creatures in the world – Yetis. I have always been fascinated by them and if I had the time and the money I would go to Nepal for that reason and also to visit the local temples.
Do watch the two documentaries. They are older but very good. They have a certain style that makes it very inviting. Remember please that Bigfoots (Tibetan: Migyur) are not something to be investigated or proven in my culture, although it’s fine to do so of course, it’s just they are real and nothing to be proven. They are a everyday fact of life in my culture and so many have seen them. They usually carry yaks or large animals away. But the usual case in the Himalayas is if you don’t bother them, they will not bother you. Tibetans talk about them as we here in America talk about coffee…very normal.
