Mental Constructs and Ucheyma
I don’t know exactly who was available or not, but those I saw or thought were around were invited for a spontaneous talk just now. We just had a nice short sharing on the form, purpose and ultimate goal in practicing of the Headless Vajra Yogini tantra and the significance of her iconography. The talk also included how mental constructions damage us short and long term, from where they arise from and how to overcome them in general. Why mental contructs are our biggest enemies and how they create more enemies for ourselves in our lives. Why mental contructs restrict us as opposed to defining who we are. When mental contructs based on false information are removed, then we come to find who we really are and attain peace. We also talked about why in the past great practitioners did their meditations, rituals and mantras in ancient cemetaries. What was gained from practicing in cemetaries and who can and cannot do so. We spoke briefly on why cemetaries are frightening and what types of practitioners would do their practices there. We also talked about how to overcome frightening things we may encounter in a cemetary.
There were some useful and interesting questions that arose which I happily answered during and after the sharing. It is always nice to share dharma, plant seeds of dharma, open seeds of dharma and ripen the seeds of practicing dharma in individuals.
Humbly,

My personal Ucheyma statues
These are my personal Ucheyma statues, offered to me recently by a student. They are made out of wood and I had them painted up. The 17.5″ statue was painted gold with an antique finish, and my 24″ statue was painted in full colour, according to the description of this Goddess in her sadhana. I wanted to share these images here as a blessing to plant seeds of Vajra Yogini and enlightenment. Please do share them with others, you may click on any of the images below to download them in high resolution.
